General terms and conditions / warranty

These warranty conditions apply to all our Zannata bicycles. The warranty provisions and the list of parts to which these provisions apply are stated below.

1 Warranty

1.2 The warranty can only be invoked by the first owner of the Zannata bicycle in question.

1.3 The warranty expires in accordance with the provisions in articles 3.1 and 5.1.

1.4 The warranty is not transferable.

2.2 This warranty period also applies to all other parts on the bicycle, with the exception of parts subject to wear and tear, such as tires, chains, sprockets, freewheels, cassettes, cables and brake pads, no warranty is given on these unless there is a construction or material defect.

2.3 Frame and fork paintwork are covered by a 2-year warranty in the event of corrosion and/or chipping from the inside.

2.4 All electrical components have a 2-year warranty. These components are first submitted to the respective manufacturer, Shimano. They determine whether or not the parts in question will be replaced under warranty.

2.5 The warranty period always commences on the date of purchase of the bicycle. A purchase invoice in the name of the first owner is conclusive proof. This must always be presented.

3.1

a. Incorrect or careless use of the bicycle and use that is not in accordance with its intended use.
b. The bicycle has not been maintained properly.
c. Technical repairs have not been carried out professionally.
d. Subsequently installed parts do not match the technical specifications of the bicycle in question or have been installed incorrectly.
e. If proof of ownership (purchase invoice or warranty card) showing that the bicycle has been professionally assembled and inspected before being delivered to the customer is not present.

3.2 Furthermore, VDB Parts NV expressly excludes liability for damage to the bicycle or specific parts as a result of:

a. Incorrect adjustment or tension of the handlebars, stem, saddle, seat post, derailleurs, brakes, quick-releases of the wheels and saddles.
b. Failure to timely replace parts such as brake/derailleur cables, brake pads, tires, chain and sprockets.
c. Climatic influences such as normal weathering of paint.
d. Improper or incorrect use of the bicycle, use for competition or commercial purposes.

‍ 4.1

4.2 Costs of transport of the bicycle or parts to and from VDB Parts NV are the responsibility of the owner, unless the part in question is eligible for warranty.

4.3 If a specific part is eligible for warranty and the original is no longer available, VDB Parts NV will provide an equivalent alternative.

5.2 If the owner has moved or the original Zannata dealer is no longer available, VDB Parts NV will (in consultation) refer to the nearest Zannata dealer.
