Zannata was launched on the Belgian market in 2000 by VDB Parts NV, a Belgian company also known for manufacturing the renowned Oxford bicycles. At the heart of Zannata's launch was Johan Moeyersons, who, with his highly dynamic and direct, no-nonsense approach, quickly launched the brand with stunning models and a sophisticated marketing strategy. This included sponsoring the Pfaff Cycling Team, collaborating with Roland Liboton to introduce the carbon cyclocross bike, the Z46, and even Thibau Nys, who took his first rides as a young boy on a Zannata.
The biggest stunt, however, was the collaboration agreement with the Roodhooft brothers and the fact that Mathieu Van Der Poel became world champion among the juniors on the “Z88 – The Blade”
Many more Belgian titles followed with Sanne Cant, and Zannata became the proud sponsor of the professional team Veranda's Willems – Accent. The brand's peak came between 2012 and 2014, when Zannata was widely recognized as an innovative, high-quality, and competitively priced Belgian brand.
However, due to reorganisations within the company, Zannata quietly began to fade away into a mellow existence without new innovations and ambition.

In mid-2025, the new management of VDB Parts NV announced that they had reached a partnership agreement with the man who initiated the project to bring the brand back to where it belongs: at the top among the biggest brands.
And yes, the old fresh wind flies like a tornado through the Zannata range in 2026.
The motto "Zannata Reloaded...2Win" reveals the brand's new ambition. For 2026, the focus will be back on innovation and technology.
The new carbon frame Z80 was already presented as an entry-level model at the end of 2025, and the new frame Z81 will be unveiled at the Velofollies bike show. The Z81 is a model specifically for women and/or children with a special geometry.
The new alloy range is also ready with all cables integrated and development is underway for the new Z86, which is scheduled for presentation in the spring of 2026.
Considerable work was also put into the design, with the return of the original font to the frames. It all looks very attractive and brings the symbolism of past success to the present and to the ambitions for the future.
